Woodcarvers Supply, a Minnesota-based supplier of tactical vise for firearms, has fired a customer after he was fatally shot while working at a warehouse.
According to a statement from the company, the customer “was in the process of working on an order when he was shot by his supervisor.”
Woodcarvers spokeswoman Michelle McDaniel said the man was on a weekend shift and “he was working as a team” when he saw his supervisor and was unable to escape.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, she said.
Woodcarver Supply says the employee was on duty when he heard someone shouting and heard the supervisor yell “Get the gun down,” the statement said.
He then saw the customer being taken away by police.
The company says it is investigating the incident.
The company’s website says it specializes in tactical vises for firearms and accessories.
It says the Woodcarve, a 3.5-inch woodworking vise designed for the use of a woodworking bench and toolbox, is made in the U.S. and sold by several other companies in the United States and Canada.
