Scottsfield Woodcarver Scott Stegall has agreed to a one-year, $6 million contract with the Brewers.

Stegalen will join the Brewers in 2019 after the season ends.

The 25-year-old Scottsville native is hitting .275/.346/.543 with 17 homers, 39 RBI and an .890 OPS in 969 plate appearances in 2017.

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound Steganen was named to the NL All-Star team as a 17-year old rookie in 2016.

He was selected by the Brewers with the No. 5 pick in the 2016 draft.

Stecher is hitting a career-best .296/.382/.532 with 27 homers, 51 RBI and a .911 OPS in 1,082 plate appearances this season.
