Woodcarves are often used to make fine wine and beer and are also used in furniture and ceramics.
However, Woodcarvers Warehouse, an independent store in Sydney’s east, has just launched a limited run of woodcarved furniture.
“We’ve been stocking wooden furniture, it’s a big deal for us, we’re very fortunate that we’re able to stock this particular style of furniture,” owner Jason Taylor told News24.
The shop has a huge range of woodcraft, but you can also find a wide range of furniture including table, chair, and more.
“There’s a lot of different types of wood, and I think that it’s really the quality of the wood that’s really important to our customers,” Mr Taylor said.
The woodcarving studio has three floors of woodshop space and a woodworking section for making furniture.
The studio has a range of products and has even started selling some of their own woodcarvings.
“I’ve had a couple of customers come in and say, ‘I just want to get a piece made for my bedroom and my wife is making her own furniture and we’re just going to buy a wood carving studio to make it’,” Mr Taylor explained.
“It’s great to have a choice of different wood styles, we can make things to suit different people’s needs.”
There’s also an open-plan wood carving room that is open to the public.
Mr Taylor said the store was also looking to expand its woodcarvering and craft room to include furniture, so people can see what they can make from the shop.
“If you’ve got an old car, you can go down and get some of that stuff,” Mr Thomas said.
“You can also see how you can use it for a more modern style, which is great.”
The Woodcarver Studio is open daily from 11am to 8pm and it is also selling wooden furniture in the store.
